Terrific Ty Krishna

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Ty Krishna in Cardiff Bay for my university course on Assyria. We visited the temple to learn about how they honour their gods and idol worship. We will be using this for a video on an anthropological approach to 'Cult Statue and Temples in the Ancient Near East'.


We had such a warm welcome from the community and I learned so much from the priests at Ty Krishna in their beautiful space. This was a valuable experience, not only for the betterment of my own understanding of other belief systems and cultures but also academically, offering valuable insights that can be extrapolated and used to interpret the ancient texts and rituals. It was truly wonderful to visit and learn more about the diverse culture that we are lucky to experience every day in Cardiff and the U.K.


Through learning about the beliefs of the Hare Krishna community during this visit, I feel more prepared to produce an anthropological study with my group in order to look Cult Statues and Temple in the Ancient Near East.
